Is it for me? Student decision tool for evaluating online mental health information

A tool to help students find trustworthy online resources and information on mental health.

Why is evaluating online mental health content important?

Many people use information from online sources to guide their personal mental health decisions. Online information can vary in quality and may sometimes be wrong. This simple tool is designed to help you find online sources of information that you can rely on to support your mental health and manage mental health problems, should you need to.

Remember, there are additional ways to get reliable information, like connecting with people, resources, and services in your school and community.

How might I use this resource?

You can use the tool to evaluate online mental health information by carefully considering each of the reflection questions.

If you’re an educator looking to bring this tool into your work with students, check out the educator guide available here.
