An in-person 2 day Provincial Leadership Meeting on May 30th and 31st, 2023 (with a virtual option)
School Mental Health Provincial Leadership Meeting - Spring 2023: Weaving the threads of mental health promotion in Ontario schools.
This year’s Spring Provincial Leadership Meeting will be hosted in-person and will include some opportunities to join virtually.
Meeting objective:
This meeting will provide mental health leadership teams with opportunities to focus on three key areas related to tier one support, and to consider ideas and strategies for uptake and integration.
Building on foundations of equity and reconciliation, we look forward to weaving the threads of
(1) identity-affirming school mental health,
(2) student engagement, agency, and leadership and
(3) mental health literacy and wellness promotion in the classroom.
Highlights will include a keynote speaker, student voices, SMH-ON updates, a panel presentation, a gallery walk of current board exemplars and dedicated time for networking and connections.
Dates and times:
May 30th 10:00 - 4:00 (in-person sign-in and networking will begin at 9:00)
May 31st 9:15 - 3:00 (coffee and networking 9am-9:15am)
Who should attend:
Mental Health Leadership Teams: mental health leaders, managers of psychology and social work services and superintendents responsible for the mental health portfolio are all welcome.
Cost:
▫ While there are no registrations fees to attend this meeting, registration is mandatory.
