This “training for trainers” session is for mental health leaders, managers/leaders of student support staff (e.g., child and youth workers, graduation coaches), and anyone else from your board’s team that will be delivering training on emotional validation.

A “training for trainers” session to experience key elements of the training and consider delivery options and audiences within your board setting.

This “training for trainers” session is for mental health leaders, managers/leaders of student support staff (e.g., child and youth workers, graduation coaches), and anyone else from your board’s team that will be delivering training on emotional validation. Key updates for delivery teams:

1) Emotional validation training materials have been broadened for use with all school staff

2) Training on emotional validation can be offered as a “stand-alone” workshop or integrated into other professional learning within your board

3) Materials have been updated to deepen connections to cultural humility and identity-affirming practices.

In this webinar, participants will:

1) experience aspects of the training to support familiarity and confidence with the approach

2) be introduced to a suite of materials that have been created to support board-level training

3) explore implementation strategies and delivery options across a wide range of audiences and settings

Mental health leaders: Manager of clinical or mental health services, Manager of psychology services, Manager of social work services, Mental health leader

This session will be delivered in English. Materials, breakout rooms, etc. will be available in French and English.
