Affinity Group for Black SMHP

This group for regulated SMHP who identify as Black provides a safe space to share best practices from their respective boards.

School Mental Health Ontario continues to facilitate an Affinity Group for Black School Mental Health Professionals (SMHPs) in Ontario. This group will serve as a safe space for Black SMHPs to share their experiences in the field of school mental health, build connections, and inform the direction of mental health resources for students that identify as African, Afro-latinx, Afro-Caribbean and/or Black to help them better navigate and thrive through the education system. They will also be able to share best practices from their respective boards.
