A Good Way Forward: Essentials of Indigenous Student Support


A webinar for SMHPs in Seeing, Being, Knowing and Doing, a wholistic approach to supporting Indigenous students

This foundational session is designed to support School Mental Health Professionals in better understanding how to engage with Indigenous students through a wholistic, relational lens. Framed around the Indigenous concepts of Seeing, Being, Knowing, and Doing, the session introduces participants to culturally grounded practices, cultural humility, and practical, everyday approaches to supporting the wellness of Indigenous students in school settings.

Audience:  

School Mental Health Professionals (Managers of clinical or mental health services, Managers of psychology services, Managers of social work services, Mental health leaders, Occupational therapists, Psychological associates, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Social workers) 

 Language: 

This session will be delivered in English. Materials, breakout rooms, etc. will be available in French and English.
