Intro to MH LIT
This one-hour course has been prepared for educators, by educators and mental health professionals at School Mental Health Ontario. It is designed to provide foundational mental health learning and practical strategies to use in the classroom.
The online course is free, self-paced, and chunked into four 15-minute modules. Topics are relevant for both elementary and secondary educators. They include:
- What is mental health?
- Why does school mental health matter?
- What does mental health in the classroom look like?
- When might students need more support?
The course can be done independently, or as a group. Upon completion, educators will receive a certificate.
