Lifting up Leadership for School Mental Health: Fall Provincial Leadership Meeting

This Fall Provincial School Mental Health Leadership Meeting will be held virtually, bringing together Mental Health Leadership Teams from across the province to set the stage for the year ahead. It is an opportunity to reinforce our collective vision and commitment to strengthen system, school and classroom leadership for the mental health and wellbeing of every student.

Focus areas will include updates from the Ministry of Education, strategic priorities for the year ahead and work related to Policy and Program Memorandum (PPM) 128 including an introduction to the SBIRT Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment for Substance Use Learning Series for SMH professionals.

The meeting will also provide an overview and updates on the following areas and resources designed to support the implementation of school board priorities for student mental health and well-being.

Who should attend:

Key members of the Mental Health Leadership Team that include mental health leaders, managers of psychology and social work services, and supervisory officers responsible for the mental health portfolio.

The meeting will be facilitated in English with slides and materials available in both French and English.
