School Mental Health Ontario launches a redesigned website to better support school mental health implementation

School Mental Health Ontario is pleased to announce the launch of its redesigned website, developed to make it easier for Ontario’s education community to access trusted, evidence-informed school mental health resources, professional learning and implementation supports.

The new website is part of School Mental Health Ontario’s broader digital revitalization strategy, designed to strengthen how knowledge is shared, connected and applied across the province.

Guided by extensive consultation and user feedback, the redesign goes beyond a refreshed visual experience. Every aspect of the website has been thoughtfully reimagined to help users find information more easily, understand how topics connect, and confidently apply evidence-informed practices in their daily work.

One of the most significant changes is a new topic-based information architecture. Rather than organizing content primarily by audience, the website is now structured around interconnected school mental health topics, while also offering curated pathways by role. This reflects how users naturally search for information, reduces duplication across the site and creates a more intuitive experience.

Every webpage has also been reviewed and rewritten using a clear, concise and actionable writing style. Content is organized into consistent sections that help users understand key concepts, explore the evidence, see what implementation looks like in practice and quickly identify relevant tools and resources.

Additional enhancements include:

Together, these improvements help users spend less time searching for information and more time putting evidence-informed school mental health practices into action.

The redesigned website also establishes a stronger digital foundation for continued growth, aligning with School Mental Health Ontario’s Learning Management System, Leadership Portal and resource library as part of a connected digital ecosystem.

We invite everyone to explore the new website and discover how it supports student mental health and well-being across Ontario.
