Coping in Action Provincial Launch: Orientation and Implementation Session
An orientation session for MHLs and Managers of Student Support Staff from boards interested in implementing Coping in Action.
School Mental Health Ontario is pleased to announce the provincial launch of Coping in Action: an evidence-informed program to support the mental health and well-being of students in grades 5 and 6. It features two programs, CALM Quest and SOLVE Squad, which are designed to be delivered by student support staff in small groups or classrooms to help students manage stress, problem-solve and destigmatize help-seeking when needed.
This session offers an opportunity for boards interested in learning more and/or implementing Coping in Action this school year, to participate in an Orientation and Implementation Session for Mental Health Leaders and Managers of Student Support Staff.
During this session, Mental Health Leaders and Managers of Student Support Staff who will support coordinating program delivery at their boards will:
experience key aspects of Coping in Action to support familiarity and confidence coordinating its deliverybe introduced to a suite of materials that have been created to support boards to deliver the programexplore considerations and strategies to support implementation at their boardDate
