Les activit\u00e9s qui impliquent l\u2019utilisation de codes de couleurs offrent aux \u00e9l\u00e8ves l\u2019occasion d\u2019am\u00e9liorer leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 se rappeler des connaissances tout en am\u00e9liorant la m\u00e9moire de travail (Dzulkifli et Mustafar, 2013). La m\u00e9moire de travail est la \u00ab capacit\u00e9 de conserver et d\u2019exploiter l\u2019information dans notre esprit \u00bb (Dias et Seabra, 2016). Des comp\u00e9tences accrues en m\u00e9moire de travail permettent aux \u00e9l\u00e8ves de mieux g\u00e9rer les t\u00e2ches quotidiennes, comme suivre les instructions et les t\u00e2ches qui exigent de retenir des informations associ\u00e9es \u00e0 la litt\u00e9ratie et \u00e0 la num\u00e9ratie (Mann, et al., 2017). Les enseignants mod\u00e9lisent constamment l\u2019utilisation de la m\u00e9moire de travail \u2013 chaque fois qu\u2019ils r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 une question ou donnent une nouvelle le\u00e7on (Mann, et al., 2017). Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves de tous les niveaux ont besoin d\u2019utiliser la m\u00e9moire de travail pour g\u00e9rer leur apprentissage parce que leur facilit\u00e9 d\u2019apprentissage d\u00e9pend de solides habilet\u00e9s en m\u00e9moire de travail (Dias et Seabra, 2016).
