This is because students can use quality friendships to learn to regulate their emotions and behaviour in a socially appropriate way (Caspi, Henry, McGee, Moffitt, &amp; Silva, 1995; Eisenberg, Fabes, Guthrie, &amp; Reiser, 2000).
