Screening, Brief Intervention & Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) Training


A full-day virtual training that will cover the core components of SBIRT (Part 1) and Motivational Interviewing (Part 2).

The SBIRT training will provide regulated school mental health professionals, clinical managers and mental health leads with foundational knowledge and skills in SBIRT and motivational interviewing. This training will include a Q&A opportunity to respond to questions.

This training will serve as the foundation and pre-requisite to the in-person cross-sectorial practice sessions, that will allow for practice with SBIRT and motivational interviewing.

This training will be in a webinar format to accommodate all regulated front-line school mental health professionals across the province. Opportunities for both English and French sessions will be available.
