Professional Development for School Mental Health Professionals

Professional Development for SMHP's: INFO Session for Mental Health Leaders and Clinical Managers June 6th 10:00 AM -12:00

NOTE: This training is for regulated school mental health professionals, managers, mental health leads

This session will support Clinical Managers and Mental Health Leads in their planning of professional development for regulated school mental health professionals for the 2023-2024 school year. The Prevention and Early Intervention team will provide participants with an over-view of the evidence-based, implementation sensitive, structured intervention protocols suitable for school mental health practice. We will engage in a deeper understanding of the Identity Affirming-School Mental Health (IA-SMH) Frame, as it relates to the Cultural Humility Tool as part of the critical, self-reflection practice for School Mental Health Professionals. As well, there will be an opportunity to hear from colleagues regarding their challenges, learnings and successes in increasing the use of the protocols in clinical practice within their Boards.

The link to the zoom meeting will be sent before the event and materials required for this training.

Any questions, please contact Sherry Sim, Event Manager at 1-866-655-8549
