For example, for \u2018I feel angry\u2019 the student could draw a dark, black cloud.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Look at magazines and cut out scenes, images, or phrases that express feelings in the moment. This can be done periodically throughout the week.<\/li>\n<li>Ask students to select how they would like to keep a mood diary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NOTE: There may be opportunities where students wish to share their reflections or where you may wish to consult with or seek out supports through your school referral process or through parent\/guardian discussions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class='card'><div class='card-header' role='tab' id='Adaptations-0'><a data-toggle='collapse' data-parent='#accordion0' href='#collapseOneAdaptations-0' aria-expanded='false' aria-controls='collapseOneAdaptations-0'><h3 class='mb-0'><em class='fas fa-angle-down rotate-icon'><\/em> Adaptations<\/h3><\/a><\/div><div id='collapseOneAdaptations-0' class='collapse' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='collapseOneAdaptations-0' data-parent='#accordion0'><div class='card-body'><ul>\n<li>You can also answer specific questions orally with a partner, or in writing, such as:\n<ul>\n<li>How am I feeling both physically (where is the emotion located in my body) and emotionally?<\/li>\n<li>Has anything happened to make me feel this way?<\/li>\n<li>When I feel this way, what do I need?<\/li>\n<li>When have I felt this way in the past?<\/li>\n<li>When is the first time I remember feeling this way?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Primary students can use a symbol or circle as visual.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class='card'><div class='card-header' role='tab' id='Evidence-0'><a data-toggle='collapse' data-parent='#accordion0' href='#collapseOneEvidence-0' aria-expanded='false' aria-controls='collapseOneEvidence-0'><h3 class='mb-0'><em class='fas fa-angle-down rotate-icon'><\/em> Evidence<\/h3><\/a><\/div><div id='collapseOneEvidence-0' class='collapse' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='collapseOneEvidence-0' data-parent='#accordion0'><div class='card-body'><p>All students have characteristic patterns of thoughts that result in both positive and negative emotions and affect moods (Oatley &amp; Johnson-Laird, 2014).
