For example, encourage students to tune into their breathing, do a body scan activity to relieve tension, or engage in positive self-talk\/affirmations. (See &#8220;Supplementary resources&#8221;)<\/li>\n<li>Play quiet music or\u00a0sound a chime to begin moments\u00a0of\u00a0silence and\u00a0stillness.\u00a0During this\u00a0time,\u00a0students\u00a0are encouraged to\u00a0say a mantra quietly in their minds.<\/li>\n<li>Debrief\/check in at the end of the two minutes\u00a0of mindfulness\u00a0to determine if the moment was\u00a0helpful for\u00a0students\u00a0or not.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class='card'><div class='card-header' role='tab' id='Adaptations-0'><a data-toggle='collapse' data-parent='#accordion0' href='#collapseOneAdaptations-0' aria-expanded='false' aria-controls='collapseOneAdaptations-0'><h3 class='mb-0'><em class='fas fa-angle-down rotate-icon'><\/em> Adaptations<\/h3><\/a><\/div><div id='collapseOneAdaptations-0' class='collapse' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='collapseOneAdaptations-0' data-parent='#accordion0'><div class='card-body'><ul>\n<li>This\u00a0can be done\u00a0school-wide during morning announcements\u00a0or as\u00a0a class. Consider incorporating mindfulness\u00a0practices\u00a0with parents\/guardians\u00a0during after-school events.<\/li>\n<li>Videos\u00a0can be used to\u00a0support this\u00a0practice which would permit educators\u00a0to participate with their class.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NOTE: Mindfulness\u00a0isn\u2019t for everyone and might trigger certain\u00a0students.
